General Information

Since 1932, the AAPA has provided scholarships to women from the Atlanta area, as part of its goal of supporting academic achievement among women. The AAPA annually awards up to three $800 scholarships to undergraduate women from the Atlanta area. Recipients attend Georgia colleges and universities, and are members of National Panhellenic Conference sororities. The scholarships are awarded based on scholarship, service and outstanding character in sorority and college. See our printable collegiate application. A printable recommendation form is a required "Additional Document." For full details about the collegiate scholarships, contact your local Atlanta Panhellenic representative.

Scholarship RecipientsThe AAPA also awards scholarships for sorority alumnae continuing education. Recipients attend Georgia colleges and universities, and are alumnae members of National Panhellenic Conference sororities. See our printable alumnae application. A printable recommendation form is a required "Additional Document." For full details about the alumnae scholarships, contact your local Atlanta Panhellenic representative.

Scholarship Fundraisers

Funds for the aforementioned scholarships come from various programs held throughout the year. In addition to fundraising efforts within AAPA Programs, special events are held to replenish the scholarship fund annually.

Spring Scholarship Luncheon

Each May the AAPA announces and honors the scholarship recipients at its Spring Scholarship Luncheon, an elegant event usually held at a country club or top hotel. Collegiate and alumnae members of NPC groups, families and friends, and of course the award recipients are invited to attend. The luncheon begins with a procession of past AAPA presidents, acknowledging their contributions to Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic.

The luncheon also honors the Panhellenic Women of the Year, an honor presented to sorority women with long records of public service who actively support the Greek system.

Recipients of honors and scholarships are listed below.
