Atlanta, GA, February 11, 2022 – The Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Association (AAPA) in conjunction with the Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Association Foundation (AAPAF), a community-based organization composed of alumnae from National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) member sororities, has launched extended the deadline for its scholarship competition to March 31, 2022. Applications are available on the AAPA website.

Since 1932, the AAPA has provided financial support to women from the Atlanta area, as part of its goal of supporting academic achievement.  The AAPAF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established in 2018 and now funds the annual scholarship program.

This year, the AAPAF will grant up to $16,000 in scholarships to collegiate and alumnae members of National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities whose legal permanent residence is in the Metro Atlanta area.  Winners will be selected based on academic achievement and demonstrated excellence in leadership, character, and community service. “AAPA is excited to once again provide financial support to outstanding sorority women in the Atlanta area. The achievements of past winners, inside and outside the classroom, have been inspiring and we look forward to learning about this year’s applicants.” said Patty Cunningham, current AAPA President. The awards will range from $1,000-$5,000.

  • Collegiate Scholarship-for Rising Junior or Rising Senior NPC sorority members attending Georgia colleges/universities whose legal residence is in the Metro Atlanta area.
  • Alumnae Scholarship-for alumnae with legal residence in the Metro Atlanta area who are continuing their education.

The application deadline for all scholarship submissions is March 31, 2022.  Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Award winners will be recognized at the AAPA Spring Scholarship Luncheon and Silent Auction on May 7, 2022, at the Dunwoody Country Club in Dunwoody, Georgia.
